THE PROBLEM
In today’s digital age, people often rely on multiple apps to manage different aspects of their wellness, such as fitness tracking, nutrition, mental health, sleep, and meditation. This reliance on several platforms can lead to a variety of challenges, including a disjointed experience, difficulty integrating data, and an overwhelming amount of apps to manage.

User Interviews

05. VALIDATE
The initial stages of the user flow included many elements present in the final product, but some pathways were not fully defined. Journaling and recipe features were identified as important additions, and new routes were introduced to create a more comprehensive and holistic experience.
After extensive experimentation and thoughtful consideration, I decided to enhance the app by incorporating journaling, recipes, and additional features like news. These additions aim to create a more engaging and versatile experience, offering users a broader range of interactive and valuable content to explore.

Wire Frame
I updated my wireframe to include features like journaling, recipes, and a news feed, adding more variety and functionality to the app. The design was adjusted to seamlessly integrate these new elements while keeping the layout clean and intuitive. These additions aim to enrich the user experience by offering a broader range of interactive and engaging content.

Branding
Zen Fit Life's branding features a lotus flower, symbolizing growth, purity, and tranquility, aligning with the app's focus on mindfulness and wellness. The design combines calming colors and minimalist elements, creating a serene atmosphere that encourage
personal growth.

Sample questions used during
user interviews:
Are there any features you find redundant or unnecessary based on your initial experience with the prototype?
Do you find the app’s flow (between sections like journaling, recipes, and news) intuitive?

MEASURING SUCCESS
Final Logos
All participants were unable to find additional features, so I added a "Discover More" option at the bottom of the page to
improve navigation.
Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate this would become a bigger issue since it wasn’t part of the original problem statement. As a result, it will need to be added to the backlog for further iteration.
Success for the app can be measured through user engagement, retention, and satisfaction, tracking metrics like active users, feature usage, and feedback. Additionally, monitoring onboarding completion and user progress toward wellness goals will help assess the app's effectiveness in meeting its intended purpose.
Navigation Matters: Clear and easy navigation is vital. Small issues, like users not knowing where to go, can significantly impact the overall user experience.
Competitive Research is Essential: Analyzing competitor apps can help you identify gaps in the market and inspire new, unique features to add to your app. This project could have used more competitive research which involves analyzing similar wellness apps to identify market gaps and inspire unique features that can differentiate the app, such as a holistic approach combining fitness, mindfulness, and personalized content.
Five gym-goers ranging from 18-22 years old, were interviewed. The interview revealed varying perspectives of how using multiple platforms has caused annoyance due to the difficulty in keeping up with all of them.
“I can't keep up with all the platforms. Between tracking my workouts on one, monitoring my sleep on another, and focusing on meditation in yet another, it all just gets overwhelming. Each app wants me to pay attention to something different, and it’s tough to stay on top of everything.”
Persona & Empathy Map
Current primary users are active, health-conscious individuals, typically between 18-22 years old, who are focused on maintaining their physical fitness, mental well-being, and sleep health through various apps. They are tech-savvy but often feel overwhelmed by managing multiple platforms for different aspects of their wellness, seeking a more integrated solution.
